About the Event
This course encompasses the content of the FAA Level 1 Awareness for First Aid for Mental Health and expands on the effects of drugs and alcohol, incorporates the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan and covers ways in which a positive mental health culture can be supported within a workplace.
Course Content This course covers the following topics:
- What is Mental Health?
- How to recognise and manage stress
- Identifying common mental health conditions
- Harmful Coping Strategies
- Signposting individuals/ Support in a Mental Health Crisis
- Providing advice and starting a conversation
- Improving Mental Wellbeing
All attendees receive certification on successful completion and a Mental Health handbook, written and produced in Ireland.
