COURSE OVERVIEW

At the completion of this First Aid Response course learners will be able to:

​

• deal with life threatening or potentially life threatening conditions in the pre-hospital environment until arrival of emergency medical services.
• provide First Aid Response for conditions not thought to be life-threatening but are necessary to prevent further harm before the emergency medical services arrive.
• provide pre-hospital First Aid Response in a wide range of environments including home and recreational settings.
• display the requisite personal skills including composure, competence and self-confidence while understanding their limitations.
• recognise and be able to cope with the additional challenges provided by “Special Circumstances” for which additional training must be completed

• Well being of the First Aid Responder

COURSE DURATION

18 hours of training available over multiple days. Midweek, evenings and weekend options are available, please discuss with us on what your preference is so we can work together.

 

Learners will be assessed on five FAR skills including CPR. A multiple choice 20 question test must also be passed.

COURSE CERIFICATION

Phoenix Safety Solutions are affiliated with Qualtec and UFAS, both of which are PHECC Approved Training Institutions (ATI). On successful completion of the course, participants will receive a First Aid Response certification which will be valid for two years. These qualifications are the only ones formally recognised by the HSE, HSA and Tusla.
